Santa Marta Sabrewing, Campylopterus phainopeplus, is a hummingbird of the highlands of northern Colombia, confined to the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the Guatapurí basin. It was described by Salvin and Godman in 1879. The bird is found in humid forest edges, banana plantations and bushy páramo between 1,200 and 2,400 m. It is a monotypic species. Its range is restricted to the Santa Marta highlands, and it is known only from this part of Cesar department.
