Santa Marta Tapaculo, Scytalopus sanctaemartae, is a bird of the Rhinocryptidae family found in northern Colombia, where it is confined to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. It was first described by Chapman in 1915. This tapaculo was once treated as part of the rufous-vented tapaculo, but it was separated on the basis of vocal differences. It lives in thick growth within humid montane forest between 900 and 1,700 m. The species is terrestrial, and a juvenile was collected in July.
