Slaty-breasted Tinamou, Crypturellus boucardi, is a tinamou of the family Tinamidae and the order Tinamiformes. It occurs in Middle America, from southern Mexico to Costa Rica, and is associated with lowland moist forest. Its range also includes Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. The species is found in thick evergreen forest with dense undergrowth, but it also uses other forest types, secondary growth and regenerating plantations. It favours damp places and may occur up to 700 m, with occasional records higher in Mexico.
