Snowy Cotinga, Carpodectes nitidus, is a passerine in the cotinga family that breeds from southern Honduras to western Panama. It lives in the canopy of humid evergreen forest and also uses nearby secondary forest in the tropical zone. The species is found on the Caribbean lowlands, with records from Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. It was described by Salvin in 1865. The bird is monotypic and belongs to Carpodectes, alongside the yellow-billed cotinga and the black-tipped cotinga.
