Andropadus importunus (Vieillot, 1818)

Sombre Greenbul, Andropadus importunus, is a passerine bulbul of eastern and southern Africa, where it breeds in coastal bush, evergreen forest and dry shrubland. It is the only living species in Andropadus. The bird has mainly dull greyish olive-green plumage, with the underparts paler than the upperparts. Birds in the south are plainer and more olive-green, while those farther north are yellower with greener upperparts. The iris is white, the sexes look alike, and juveniles are duller with dark grey eyes. The subspecies A. i. hypoxanthus is much yellower below.
