Speckled Piculet, Picumnus innominatus, is a woodpecker of the Oriental Region, with a breeding range that is widespread and also includes central and eastern China. It was first described by Burton in 1836. It occurs across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, including bamboo jungle, boreal forest, and moist lowland and montane forest. The sexes are alike, with olive-green upperparts, two pale head stripes, creamy underparts marked with black spots, and a dark green area around the eye. The male also shows orange and brown on the forecrown. It usually feeds on ants and termites.
