Spot-throat

Modulatrix stictigula

The Spot-throat (Modulatrix stictigula) is a small passerine bird found in the montane forests of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive spotted throat and chest, which contrast with its olive-brown upperparts. The Spot-throat is an insectivorous species, foraging in the dense undergrowth and mid-canopy of the forest. It has a melodious song and often forms mixed-species flocks with other forest birds. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the Spot-throat is considered vulnerable to extinction.
