Myiarchus stolidus (Gosse, 1847)

Stolid Flycatcher, Myiarchus stolidus, is a bird of Jamaica and Hispaniola in the Tyrannidae family. It is a resident of the tropical zone on both islands, where it uses lowland forest, woodland, scrub, mangroves and, on Hispaniola, pine forest. It also occurs on offshore islands. The species breeds from April to June and places its nest in tree cavities or in human structures such as houses. The clutch contains three to four eggs. The sexes have the same plumage, and the nominate form is endemic to Jamaica while M. s. dominicensis is endemic to Hispaniola.
