Sumatran Green Pigeon, Treron oxyurus, is a pigeon of montane Sumatra and western Java in the Oriental Region. It belongs to the family Columbidae and was described by Temminck in 1823. It lives in the canopy of dense hill and mountain forest, and has been recorded from 350 to 1,800 m on Sumatra and 600 to 3,000 m on Java. The bird is slender, with a long wedge-shaped tail. Males and females differ in plumage, with the male showing a dark green head and body, yellow underparts and bluish-green bare facial skin.
