Sunda Teal

Anas gibberifrons

The Sunda Teal (Anas gibberifrons) is a species of dabbling duck found in Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive yellowish-orange bill, mottled brown plumage, and striking green speculum feathers. These ducks are typically found in freshwater wetlands, marshes, and rice fields. They are often seen foraging for aquatic plants, seeds, and small invertebrates in shallow water. The Sunda Teal is considered a species of Least Concern by the IUCN, with stable populations across its range.
