Taita Apalis

Apalis fuscigularis Moreau, 1938

Cisticolidae — Cisticolas & Allies

Taita Apalis, Apalis fuscigularis, is a bird of the Cisticolidae family that breeds in Kenya, where it is confined to the Taita Hills. It was described by Moreau in 1938. It lives in moist montane forest in the subtropical or tropical zone. The species was once treated as part of the bar-throated apalis. Its range is very small and broken up, and much of the original forest has been replaced by cultivation or planted non-native timber trees.
