Upland Goose, Chloephaga picta, is a member of the Anatidae family within the order Anseriformes. It breeds in South America, including southern Chile, southern Argentina and the Falkland Islands. The species nests close to water, such as rivers, ponds and the sea, and does so on the ground or just beside it among vegetation. Breeding sites are usually grasslands or coastal meadows, and the season begins with the austral summer.
