White-browed Chat-Tyrant, Ochthoeca leucophrys, is a passerine of the western Andean highlands in South America, with a breeding range from southern Ecuador to north-west Argentina. It belongs to the tyrant flycatcher family and was first described in 1837. The bird is tied to dry montane forest and Polylepis woodland, where it uses ravines, gorges and grassy slopes, and it is also found near streams and in cultivated places with hedgerows. It stays in the same area throughout the year. Six subspecies are recognised across Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
