White-necked Laughingthrush, Garrulax strepitans, is a bird of eastern Myanmar, south-west China, Thailand and north-west Laos in the family Leiothrichidae. It breeds in the Oriental Region, where it is associated with lowland and montane broad-leaved forest and scrubland. The species is also recorded from subtropical and tropical moist lowland and montane forests. It was described by Blyth in 1855. Its range covers Yunnan, Myanmar, Laos and Thailand, and in China it is noted as rare.
