Yellow-billed Kingfisher, Syma torotoro, is a kingfisher of New Guinea, its satellites and north-eastern Australia, where it breeds in lowland rainforest, monsoon forest and forest edges. It is a tree kingfisher and is found across lowland New Guinea and nearby islands, reaching Cape York Peninsula. The species is notable for its orange colouring and yellow bill. Adults show an orange head and neck, a black patch on the nape, and a white throat, while females also have a black crown patch.
