Yellow-streaked Greenbul

Phyllastrephus flavostriatus (Sharpe, 1876)

Pycnonotidae — Bulbuls

Yellow-streaked Greenbul, Phyllastrephus flavostriatus, is a bulbul of eastern and south-eastern Africa. It lives in moist lowland forest and moist montane forest in subtropical and tropical regions. First described by Sharpe in 1876, it was placed in Andropadus at first. It is also known as the yellow-streaked bulbul, and some authorities have treated Sharpe’s greenbul as part of it. Seven subspecies are recognised, with the nominate form occurring in eastern Zimbabwe, southern Mozambique and eastern South Africa.
