About this tour

Set aside a day for the birds and landscapes of Livanjsko field with Stur.ba. The agency’s one-day birdwatching format is available to individuals and groups and focuses on the karst basin around Livno, rather than its separate recreational canoe activities.

Livanjsko field brings a wide range of habitats into one regional setting. Wet grasslands and reedbeds contrast with more open parts of the basin, while rivers and seasonal flooding influence where birds gather. At the northwestern end, Ždralovac is an important wetland; Buško Lake lies toward the southeast. These are features of the broader birding landscape, with the exact visit arranged for the outing.

A full-day format makes birdwatching the focus of the visit. The area is known for wetland birds and birds of open country, including Great Egret, Eurasian Bittern, Montagu’s Harrier and Corncrake. Seasonal migration is another attraction: spring brings concentrations of passing birds, and cranes move through during autumn. Sightings remain dependent on timing and conditions.

The published rate for the one-day excursion is BAM180 per person, with EUR90 quoted as an alternative. This is a single-day birding outing, distinct from the operator’s three- and five-day programs. Stur.ba arranges the practical plan for each individual or group visit.

Lunch is included, along with homemade snacks such as rolls while out in the field.

Meet at Stur.ba, Potok 11, Livno, or arrange to meet outside your hotel. The meeting point is agreed individually for each tour.
