About this tour

Stur.ba’s three-day birdwatching option offers a longer visit to Livanjsko field than its half-day and one-day excursions. The program is centered on this bird-rich karst landscape near Livno in Bosnia and Herzegovina and can be arranged for individual visitors or groups.

The field is an extensive basin influenced by water, grassland and surrounding mountains. Its wetland setting includes Ždralovac in the northwest, while Buško Lake forms part of the southeastern landscape. Rivers and periodically flooded ground create a changing environment for birds, so the season is an important part of any birding visit.

Across a three-day visit, the regional birdlife remains the central interest. Species associated with the field include Great Egret and Eurasian Bittern in wetland habitat, along with Montagu’s Harrier and Corncrake in the wider open-country setting. Spring migration and autumn crane passage bring additional seasonal possibilities. These birds illustrate the area’s interest and are not a promised checklist.

The three-day program is offered at BAM1,000 per person, also listed as EUR500. The duration and price distinguish this option from shorter outings; the particular daily plan is arranged with Stur.ba.

The package includes all meals and accommodation during the program. Airfare is excluded.

Meet at Stur.ba, Potok 11, Livno, or arrange to meet outside your hotel. The meeting point is agreed individually for each tour.
