About this tour

Use three days on Santiago to seek the island and archipelago specialties that complement Almodovar Birding's offshore programs. Hadoram Shirihai leads the extension from 26 to 28 February 2027, with accommodation and local ground transport included.

The field plan prioritizes endemic and distinctive Cape Verde birds, with possibilities including Cape Verde Swamp Warbler, Cape Verde Sparrow, Cape Verde Swift, Alexander's Kestrel, Cape Verde Barn Owl and the locally restricted Cape Verde Heron. Exact sites and daily timing remain responsive to access, weather and current bird activity.

This compact land-based program can stand alone or connect with the Santo Antao and Raso sea expeditions. International and inter-island flights, lunch, dinner and personal travel insurance are not included.
