Waterways, Birds and Plains links two neighbouring faces of Casanare over three days and two nights. Around Monterrey and Tauramena, the eastern Andean foothills descend toward the Llanos, bringing forest-edge birding, open-country wildlife and water-shaped landscapes into one private nature programme led by René Leal and Montuno Birding.
The confirmed experience mix combines piedmont birding with a Llanos cultural and wildlife component, plus a visit to El Tobogán waterfalls and other lagoon or waterfall settings used by the programme.
