Red-headed Barbet, Eubucco bourcierii, is a New World barbet of the family Capitonidae that breeds from Costa Rica through Panama, Colombia and Ecuador to northern Peru. It is a bird of evergreen mountain forest, using both primary woodland and nearby secondary growth, and occurs from 400 to 2,400 m. The male has a red head, a white collar, an olive-green back, an orange to yellow breast and a white belly. In the female, the crown and nape vary from dull orange to green, and some birds show a black forehead.
