Don Mammoser is a professional nature, wildlife and travel photographer who leads small-group photography tours. He studied zoology at the University of South Florida and began developing his photographic career while working on an endangered-species project involving woodpeckers. His programs welcome photographers with different levels of experience and combine field instruction with carefully arranged travel logistics. Bird photography is central to his Costa Rica and Belize routes, with lodge gardens, feeding areas and wetland boat outings providing varied settings for practice. A dedicated Costa Rica program concentrates on Resplendent Quetzals during the nesting season. Don also writes about photography and is the author of guides to Colorado wildflowers and photographing the Colorado Rockies.
