Nils Birding & Conservation

Nils Navarro Pacheco is a Cuban ornithologist, naturalist, scientific illustrator and birding guide whose work connects biodiversity research, conservation and art. A Fine Arts graduate, he worked as a curator and taxonomist at the Natural History Museum of Holguín and contributed to the description of species new to science in Cuba. He is the author and illustrator of the Field Guide to the Endemic Birds of Cuba and the Annotated Checklist of the Birds of Cuba, coordinates international conservation projects, and contributes as an eBird editor and reviewer in Cuba. Through Nils Birding & Conservation, he leads tailored birding, herping and nature journeys for experienced birders, photographers and first-time visitors, combining field identification, ecological interpretation and Cuban culture.
