About this tour

This east-to-west circuit begins among the wetlands and tea country around Tinsukia before crossing to the Mishmi foothills. Boat trips in Dibru-Saikhowa and Maguri Beel introduce river and marsh birds, while Roing and Mayudia shift the search into cooler forest at elevation.

The return through Dihing Patkai and Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary adds lowland rainforest walking and safari time. Three nights around Kaziranga then allow repeated coverage of grassland, woodland and wetland sectors rather than a single brief visit. Heritage tea bungalows, a simple Roing guesthouse and an established Kaziranga lodge give the journey several distinct bases.

Private road transport, an English-speaking escort, local guiding, the listed boat trips and safaris, accommodation and the stated meal plan are included. Forest access, water levels and road conditions can alter the practical sequence. Final dates and the current quotation are confirmed through BirdWatch.info.
