White-winged Ducks are primarily found in undisturbed, remote areas with abundant wetlands and large trees. They are omnivorous, feeding on aquatic plants, insects, and small vertebrates. Due to habitat loss and hunting, the White-winged Duck is considered vulnerable to extinction.
