Northeast India Winter Birding Tour
A sixteen-day winter expedition through Manas, eastern Assam, the Mishmi Hills and Namdapha for rare forest, grassland and mountain birds.
About this tour
This extensive Northeast India route begins near Guwahati and Manas before moving east through Assam to Dehing Patkai, Maguri Beel and the Mishmi Hills. It then reaches the forests around Namdapha and returns through Dibrugarh.
The program spans grasslands, wetlands, lowland rainforest and montane forest, giving access to a very broad range of regional birds. Wild A Gram describes 320 to 370 species as possible on a productive departure, while emphasizing a collection of scarce and localized targets. Road conditions, weather and bird activity can alter the daily plan.
Current dates, permits, exact accommodation, transfers, group size, price and final inclusions are confirmed with the proposal.
