About this tour

Follow a steep ecological gradient from the high Andes into the cloud forest on this two-day private birding journey. Abra Malaga, the San Luis forest and Incatambo bring together puna, Polylepis woodland, humid forest and lower-elevation habitat within a compact route.

The first day uses frequent observation stops between the mountain pass and Tunkiwasi Lodge. The following morning is dedicated to the lodge surroundings and nearby Incatambo before the return to Cusco.

The program includes one night at Tunkiwasi Lodge and the meals stated in the itinerary. Fisher adapts field stops to weather, road conditions and bird activity.
