About this tour

This private 12-day route is built around Mindanao’s best-known Philippine Eagle sites and a sequence of contrasting upland and lowland birding areas. After arrival in Manila or Cebu, guests fly to Davao for the Philippine Eagle Center and a guided birding program at Eden Nature Park.

The journey continues by private road to Malaybalay and Mount Kitanglad Natural Park. Three nights of basic mountain accommodation support two full birding days on the Kitanglad range, where the route uses licensed park and climb guides and includes the necessary permits, mountain logistics and meals.

The final field section is based at Mapawa Nature Park near Cagayan de Oro. Two guided birdwatching days explore the park before the return flight to Manila or Cebu. The itinerary includes multiple flights, long transfers and a basic mountain component, so participants should discuss fitness, comfort and current trail conditions before booking. Bird sightings, including Philippine Eagle, remain dependent on natural conditions.
