About this tour
This private four-hour outing links cycling with focused birdwatching around the Barycz Valley. Zuzanna Pestka selects local routes and observation stops near Milicz according to access, weather and current activity, using the bicycle to move between fish ponds, reedbeds, meadows, woodland and old tree avenues.
At each productive stop, the group can use supplied binoculars and spotting scopes to study birds at a respectful distance. Zuzanna is a local biologist, ornithologist and nature guide, and her field guidance helps participants recognise species through appearance, behaviour and habitat. The balance between riding and observation can be adapted to the group.
White-tailed Eagle, Grey Heron and Great Cormorant are representative priorities. Geese, grebes, waders, other wetland birds and passerines may add variety as the season changes, but wild encounters cannot be promised.
The cycling season runs from April through October and the private format is available for up to ten guests. Participants bring a suitable bicycle or arrange a local rental separately; bicycle hire is not included. Day 1
Cycling between seasonal birding stops
Meet near Milicz with a suitable bicycle, review the planned distance and begin along local Barycz Valley routes. Zuzanna links pond-edge, reedbed, meadow, woodland and tree-lined stops according to access and current bird activity, pausing for observation and identification with supplied optics. The four-hour circuit is adjusted to the group and finishes at the confirmed meeting point.
