12-Day Safaris, Primates and Birding Tour in Rwanda

On arrival (generally in the evening), our driveguide will brief you about the tour and drives you at Chez Lando Hotel for accommodation.

After breakfast, we will havea brief tour of Kigali, the cleanest city in Africa, and visit Kigali Genocide Memorial. After lunch,we drive to Akagera NP; overnight at Akagera Transit Lodge

At 7am, we start a safaris and birding to see savanna animalslike Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes and birds like Crested Barbet, Miombo Wren Warbler andwe stop for lunch. From 4.30pm to 6pm, we have sunset boat to see Crocodile, Hippopotamus,flocks of Waterbirds; overnight at Akagera Game Lodge

After breakfast, we havea morning game drive towards the north of the park. On the way we can see spectacular animalslike Giraffe, Topi; lunch is arranged at 1pm at Mihindi Picnic area. After lunch, we proceed toKarenge Bush Camp and from 5:30pm to 8pm we have a night game drive to see Hyena, Leopardand birds like Square-tailed Nightjar; overnight at Karenge Bush Camp.

We have an early birding and game drive from5:30 and be back at the camp for breakfast at 9am. After breakfast we go for a safaris towards theexit and then drive to Volcanoes NP; we will reach our accommodation (Fatima Hotel) at dinnertime

Trekking MountainGorillas is a unique and unforgettable experience. The trekking can take between 3 and 6 hours.In the afternoon, we visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus, where we learn about the legacy andtremendous work of Dian Fossey to protect the Mountain Gorillas; overnight at Fatima Hotel.

After breakfast, we have a morning safaris and after lunch we drive to Nairobi (229.5 km/about 4h30 min); we drive stright to the airport for evening flight; END

After breakfast, we will driveto Tea estate to learn how tea is planted, harvested and processed. Our lunch is in Kibuye beforewe proceed to Nyungwe National Park; dinner and overnight are at Chimpanzee Lodge.

We have a morning walk toa waterfall. After lunch, we walk on the 70m high and 200m long bridge suspended over the treesto enjoy the view of the forest; overnight are at Chimpanzee Lodge

We start at 5:00am and when we reach agroup of Chimpanzees and trekking goes until lunch time; afternoon relax and overnight atChimpanzee Lodge.

After breakfast, we drive to MarabaCoffee farms to learn about coffee planting, harvesting and processing. Afternoon, we drive to theKing’s Palace Museum to understand the kingdom life style, we also visit the traditional cows“Inyambo” before we drive to Kigali; accommodation and dinner are at Chez Lando Hotel.

We have a morning walk in Nyandungu UrbanWetland Eco-tourism Park until lunch time before we go for handcraft and souvenirs shops amdthen drive to the airport for evening flight; END
