This six-day experience pairs a community stay at Diadiam 3 with flexible exploration of Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary. The outline begins with the road journey from Dakar, followed by four days in which guests can divide their time between village life and guided activities around the park, before the return transfer.
Nature options include a 1.5-hour pirogue trip, a roughly nine-kilometre walk with the possibility of a picnic, and a carriage outing toward viewpoints and the great lake. Day 1
Dakar to the Djoudj community
Meet the guide in Dakar and travel toward Djoudj. Arrive in Diadiam 3 and receive a welcome from the community. Exact pickup, journey time and accommodation are reconfirmed.
Day 2
Days 2–5: village immersion and flexible Djoudj activities
Choose between time with the host community and guided excursions in and around Djoudj. Options described by the operator include birding by pirogue, a longer walk with a picnic, carriage access toward the great lake and fishing. The exact daily plan depends on conditions and guest interests.
Day 6
Return transfer
Thank the host community and return with the guide. A transfer onward in Senegal or toward Mauritania may be discussed, but no onward service is assumed until confirmed.
