Private 4-Hour Birding Tour in Ponga Nature Park
A private mountain birding outing through Ponga and the Beyos Gorge, combining roadside viewpoints with short walks in forest and open country.
About this tour
Explore one of eastern Asturias’ most dramatic mountain landscapes with a local BirdWatch Asturias guide. The route follows productive sections of Ponga Nature Park and the Beyos Gorge, using roadside viewpoints and short walks to scan cliffs, woodland and open slopes.
Griffon Vultures are a regular feature of the area, while Golden Eagle and Bearded Vulture are among the possible larger raptors. Forest and edge habitat add woodpeckers, tits, warblers and other mountain birds according to season. Every outing is adjusted to weather, access and current bird activity, so no individual sighting is guaranteed.
The standard option lasts four hours. A longer seven-hour version can be requested from EUR 90 per person. Transport from Cangas de Onis, binoculars, a telescope and field guides are included.
