About this tour
Sierra Norte occupies the old Sierra Morena range north of Seville, where Mediterranean forest, shrubland, wood pasture and riverbanks support both soaring raptors and a varied woodland bird community.
The sky search can include Spanish Imperial Eagle, Golden Eagle, kites, harriers, vultures, Sparrowhawk and Goshawk, always depending on the day. Closer to the vegetation, Blue Rock Thrush, Song Thrush, Nightingale, woodpeckers and several warblers broaden the field experience beyond birds of prey.
Short walks through dehesa and along river corridors allow time to listen as well as scan. The pace combines open viewpoints for gliding birds with quieter sections where calls and movement in Mediterranean cover become the main clues.

Spend the day alternating between open raptor viewpoints and short walks through Mediterranean woodland, dehesa, scrub and riverbank habitat.
