Day 1: Arusha Arrival in Arusha & Relaxation Arrival in Arusha Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and acclimatizing to the altitude.

Day 2–3: Arusha National Park Birding & Wildlife Exploration in Arusha National Park Arusha National Park Spend two full days exploring Arusha National Park, which is home to over 400 bird species, including some endemic and near-endemic species such as the Tanzania Red-billed Hornbill, the Abbott’s Starling, and the Schalow’s Turaco. Look out for raptors such as the African Crowned Eagle and the Martial Eagle, and enjoy birdwatching opportunities in the montane forest, grassland, and wetland habitats. In addition to birdwatching, you may also have the opportunity to see other wildlife such as giraffes, buffalos, and primates.

Spend two full days exploring the area and looking for special birds such as the Verreaux’s Eagle, the Eastern Double-collared Sunbird, and the Black-headed Gonolek. Other interesting species include the Maasai Ostrich, the Grey-crowned Crane, and the Red-billed Oxpecker.
