Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and use the included transfer to reach the Arusha hotel. The remainder of the day is reserved for rest and acclimatisation.

Begin two full days in Arusha National Park across montane forest, grassland, wetland and lake habitats. Tanzania National Parks records more than 450 bird species here. Named possibilities include Schalow’s Turaco, African Crowned Eagle and Martial Eagle.

Continue exploring Arusha National Park with the guide, adjusting the route to weather and current bird activity. The park’s varied habitats also create possibilities for giraffe, buffalo and primates.

Drive to Tarangire National Park and begin birding through its river, acacia and savanna habitats. Yellow-collared Lovebird, Ashy Starling, Rufous-tailed Weaver, Greater Kestrel, Secretarybird and Lilac-breasted Roller are among the named possibilities; elephant herds are an additional wildlife focus.

Use a second full day for Tarangire’s current bird concentrations and wildlife. Continue looking for the recorded dry-country priorities while allowing time for possible lion, leopard and zebra sightings.

Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park and explore groundwater forest, woodland and lakeshore habitats. Drive into Serengeti National Park and begin exploring its acacia woodland and grassland habitats. Grey-breasted Spurfowl, Kori Bustard, Secretarybird, Fischer’s Lovebird, Yellow-throated Sandgrouse and White-headed Buffalo Weaver are among the recorded possibilities.

Spend a full day on Serengeti game drives, balancing grassland birding with current wildlife activity. The route and timing can respond to seasonal movements and recent field reports.

Use a second complete Serengeti day to revisit productive habitats and continue looking for the route’s named birds and mammals. Every encounter remains conditional.

Travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the first of two field days. The recorded list includes Rufous-tailed Weaver, Hildebrandt’s Francolin, Rosy-breasted Longclaw, Lammergeier, Verreaux’s Eagle and African Finfoot, with black rhino a possible but uncommon wildlife sighting.

Continue exploring Ngorongoro’s crater and highland habitats, adapting the second day to access and recent bird activity. The programme also allows possible lion, elephant and hyena sightings.

Take the included domestic flight to Selous Game Reserve and begin the southern section in miombo, grassland, riverine and wetland habitats. Named possibilities include African Skimmer, Pel’s Fishing Owl, Rufous-bellied Heron, Lilian’s Lovebird, African Green Pigeon and Retz’s Helmetshrike.
