This short birding safari takes you from Entebbe to the wildlife-rich Queen Elizabeth National Park, a haven for bird lovers with over 600 recorded species. Entebbe → Queen Elizabeth National Park Depart early from Entebbe and begin your scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy birding stopovers along the way as you pass through Uganda’s countryside. Upon arrival, head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, one of the best birding and wildlife viewing spots in the park. Expect sightings of pelicans, African Fish Eagles, and other water birds, along with hippos and crocodiles. Later, proceed for an evening game drive in search of elephants, lions, buffalo, and more. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park Spend the entire day birdwatching across the park’s diverse habitats including savannah, wetlands, and forested areas. Look out for rare and sought-after species such as the African Green Broadbill, Papyrus Gonolek, African Finfoot, Shoebill, and various raptors. Enjoy continuous wildlife encounters including antelopes, hippos, and crocodiles throughout the day. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Queen Elizabeth → Entebbe (via Mabamba Swamp) After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive to catch any wildlife or bird species you may have missed. Begin your journey back to Entebbe with a stop at Mabamba Swamp, a prime location for spotting the elusive Shoebill Stork. Enjoy a guided birding excursion through the papyrus channels, where you may also see other wetland species. Continue to Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
