Private Bespoke Birding Break in Scotland
Build a private Scottish birding break for a couple or a group of up to seven, with duration, habitats, accommodation and travel agreed around your priorities.
About this tour
This is the flexible option for birders who want a route designed around particular species, habitats, dates or pace. John Poyner draws on more than 20 years of guiding in the Highlands and islands to shape a programme for a couple or a private group of up to seven people.
A Highland break can use Grantown-on-Spey as its base, with access to the Cairngorms, Moray Firth and other northern landscapes. A wider plan may extend to Shetland, Orkney, the Outer Hebrides, Islay, Mull, Coll, Tiree, Barra or the Small Isles where availability and the agreed itinerary allow.
Duration and price are therefore confirmed only after the route has been discussed. The resulting package can combine guiding, transport, dinner, accommodation, breakfast, packed lunches and hot drinks, while personal expenses and drinks remain outside the stated core arrangement.
