Spend a full day exploring the birdlife and varied habitats of the Uists with Western Isles Wildlife. Resident guide Steve Duffield has led trips in the Outer Hebrides since 2007 and uses current field knowledge to choose the most productive route for the date.

Day 1
Seasonal birding across the Uists
Meet at the agreed point at about 09:00 and travel between birding sites selected for the date, weather and your interests. The day normally includes a number of short walks, generally no more than a couple of miles at a time, with frequent stops to scan coastal, machair, wetland and moorland habitats. Return is normally around 17:00.
