About this tour

Samborombon Bay is Diego Gallegos' pampa-flavoured full-day route south of Buenos Aires.

The official tour page describes agricultural fields, native grassland and forest, marshes and some mudflats, reached by heading south along the Rio de la Plata.

This route is best treated as a long day for open-country, marsh and coastal birding, with exact stops adapted to water levels, access and current bird activity.

It can be upgraded into the more relaxed Punta Rasa multi-day route for additional shorebirds, terns, gulls and flamingos.
