Punta Rasa and Pampas Birding Tour
A two-day trip from Buenos Aires to pampas grasslands and Punta Rasa, where tidal flats gather shorebirds at the meeting of river and ocean.
About this tour
An early departure from Buenos Aires allows birding stops at roadside lagoons before reaching the San Clemente area. The first afternoon is devoted to open pampas and aquatic habitats, with potential for rheas, screamers, flamingos and other grassland or wetland birds. One hotel night is provided in San Clemente or General Lavalle.
Day two starts early at Punta Rasa, whose nutrient-rich tidal flats sit where the Río de la Plata meets Atlantic waters. Shorebirds, gulls and terns are the principal focus, with time to revisit inland grasslands or lagoons before the return toward Buenos Aires. Transport, guiding, field meals, snacks, water and the overnight stay are included as listed; alcoholic drinks, laundry, extras and tips are excluded.

Early pickup and road transfer with birding stops, followed by an afternoon in grassland and lagoon habitat.

Punta Rasa tidal flats
Start early at Punta Rasa for shorebirds and seabirds, then revisit grasslands or inland lagoons before returning toward Buenos Aires.
