About this tour

Explore one of Austria’s most productive birding regions on a private outing with Alpinus. The Rhine Delta and the Austrian shore of Lake Constance bring together wet meadows, reedbeds, shoreline and open water, creating year-round opportunities to watch resident birds, migrants and wintering waterbirds.

The program is planned as a focused three to four-hour field session. Depending on current conditions and the group’s interests, the meeting point can be arranged at the Rhine embankment parking area in Fußach or near the lake in Hard. The guide keeps the group small and uses local knowledge to choose observation points where participants can spend time watching birds without turning the visit into a rushed checklist.

The wider region records more than 330 bird species during the year. Autumn and winter bring particularly large concentrations of waterbirds, while the wet grasslands of the delta can support breeding species such as Northern Lapwing and Bluethroat. Sightings always depend on season, weather and natural bird activity.

This experience suits visiting birders, families and nature-focused travelers who want a guided introduction to Lake Constance birdlife. Current price, language, exact route and availability are confirmed after inquiry. Groups are limited to twelve participants, and larger parties may be supported by a second nature guide.
