Luscinia svecica (Linnaeus, 1758)

Bluethroat, Luscinia svecica, is a passerine of the Muscicapidae family that breeds across the Palearctic, with a presence in western Alaska. Outside the breeding season it occurs in Oregon and northern Africa. It is a migratory species, and its breeding sites include wet birch woodland and bushy swamp. The bird is also known as a chat. It nests in tussocks or low in dense bushes. The male has a striking throat pattern, with a vivid blue throat, a dark band beneath it, and a broad red band below that.
