6-Day Best of Bialowieza and Biebrza Birding Tour
A six-day eastern Poland birding circuit linking Bialowieza’s mature forest with Biebrza’s open marshes for woodland and wetland specialties.
About this tour
This six-day circuit combines two contrasting birding regions in northeastern Poland. Bialowieza Forest brings mature lowland woodland, old trees, wet forest and clearings; Biebrza National Park opens into river channels, flooded meadows, sedge beds and peatland. Together they give birders access to forest and wetland communities within one compact journey.
In Bialowieza, guided sessions focus on the habitat of European woodpeckers, forest owls, flycatchers and Hazel Grouse. At Biebrza, the emphasis shifts to Aquatic Warbler, Great Snipe, marsh terns, Bluethroat, Citrine Wagtail, rails, raptors and other birds associated with the river valley. The operator’s guides use access permits for selected protected zones and adapt the daily plan to bird activity, water levels and weather. Named species remain priorities rather than guarantees.
The seasonal birding programme includes airport transfers, transport in Poland, local guides, accommodation with meals, entrance and permit fees, and twin or single en-suite rooms, while alcoholic drinks, unlisted services and personal insurance are excluded. For 2027 departures, price, dates and any single-room supplement are available on request.
