Eurasian Eagle-Owl

Bubo bubo

The Eurasian Eagle-Owl, also known as the European Eagle-Owl, is a majestic and powerful bird of prey found in various habitats across Europe and Asia. With a wingspan of up to 6 feet, it is one of the largest owl species in the world. Its distinctive orange eyes and tufted ear-like feathers give it a striking appearance. This nocturnal hunter preys on small mammals, birds, and even other owls. It nests in rocky areas and cliffs, and its deep hoots can be heard echoing through the night. Despite its adaptability to different environments, the Eurasian Eagle-Owl faces threats from habitat loss and human disturbance.
