Eurasian Eagle-Owl, Bubo bubo, is a widespread owl of the Palearctic, occurring across Europe and Asia. It is one of the largest owls, and is known for its ear tufts and orange eyes. The upper body is mottled in dark and tawny tones, while the wings and tail are barred. The underparts are buff with darker streaking, and the facial disc is not strongly marked. It is also known simply as the eagle-owl in Europe and Asia.
