Ashy Tailorbird Orthotomus ruficeps is a passerine in the family Cisticolidae, breeding across the Oriental Region from the Malay Peninsula and southern Cambodia and Vietnam to Mapun Island in the western Philippines and the Greater Sundas. It was described by Lesson in 1830. It is associated with moist lowland forest and mangrove forest in tropical and subtropical areas.
