Black-hooded Sierra Finch, Phrygilus atriceps, is a bird of the family Thraupidae found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Peru. Its breeding range is in south-western South America. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and in subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. Described by d'Orbigny and Lafresnaye in 1837, it belongs to the order Passeriformes.
