Ethiopian Cisticola

Cisticola lugubris (Rüppell, 1840)

Ethiopian Cisticola, Cisticola lugubris, is a passerine in the Cisticolidae family and breeds in Ethiopia and Eritrea. It is found in the highlands of both countries, where it uses tropical seasonally wet or flooded grassland and swamps. Also known as the Abyssinian black-backed cisticola and the winding cisticola, it is a monotypic species. It was described by Rüppell in 1840.
