Erithacus rubecula
The European Robin is a small bird with a round body, measuring about 12.5–14.0 cm in length and weighing around 16–22 grams. It is known for its distinctive orange-red breast and face, with a brownish-grey upper body. This species is a familiar sight in gardens, woodlands, and parks across Europe, where it is known for its melodious song and bold behavior. European Robins are territorial and often seen perched on a high vantage point, singing to defend their territory. They primarily feed on insects, worms, and fruits. During the breeding season, they build cup-shaped nests in hidden locations such as tree hollows or crevices.
