Giant Ibis, Pseudibis gigantea, is a bird of the lowlands in southern Vietnam and Cambodia, where it breeds in the Oriental Region. It belongs to the ibis family, Threskiornithidae, and was described by Oustalet in 1877. The species is notable for being the largest living ibis. It uses marshes, swamps, lakes, broad rivers, flooded plains, seasonal pools and water-meadows, and it also occurs in semi-open forest. Its range is now very restricted, with the main breeding population in Cambodia and only scattered records elsewhere.
