Grey-breasted Spurfowl, Pternistis rufopictus, is a bird of the Phasianidae family found in north-west Tanzania. It is the only member of its kind recognised, with no subspecies. First described by Reichenow in 1887, it was given the name Pternistis rufopictus at that time. The bird is also known as the grey-breasted francolin. A 2019 molecular study placed it as the closest relative of the red-necked spurfowl.
